Kyoko pushed open the big glass door that allowed her to exit her work, and was amazed by the brilliant light. Inside the office, not much light was let in during the whole day, so it was astonishing to see so much of it in one shot. Kyoko felt as thought the light were punishing her for leaving her little Tohru alone while she was inside, and as she would come out, the light would congratulate her, but also urge her to get back home.
She smiled, trying to contain her excitement. She would finally get to see her little Tohru-chan, and maybe... Maybe they could eat out tonight, just to celebrate the fact that they were reunited again! Then again, Kyoko would celebrate every day just because Tohru was there... And anyway, they did ave a tight budget...
So Kyoko decided to keep celebration for a more important night. (Little did she know her days with Tohru were already quite limited...)
She would have run to go home, but she almost missed the little tuft of orange hair that so sweetly came for guidance. She smiled, and ran to him, surprising little Kyou-chan.
"KYOU-CHAN! KONNICHIWA!" She shouted.

Kyou gripped the straps of his backpack, hefting it onto his shoulders. He hoped that Shishou wouldn't make him do his homework first... he wanted to practice fighting more! After such an embarrassing fight with Yuki just the other day, his resolve was strengthened once again to get even better. Perhaps Shishou would protest this, but he just didn't get it! Kyou clenched his teeth, angrily, and started walking faster and jaggedly. He had managed to get angry all by himself, silly kid. But, it didn't matter, he soothed his rising anger, Shishou would help him anyway, like he always did. He slowed once again, his feet padding down the pavement, as he walked home. At least Kagura wasn't there to bug him, she'd been sick. Haru had already split from that walk to go in a different direction, the dreaded Souma Estate, and Yuki didn't even go to the same school. Whether this was a good thing or no, Kyou couldn't really figure out, so he left it alone. Just as he turned the corner, he was met with a loud, quaking voice the nearly blasted him off his feet as he was greeted by a tall (to him, at least), orange-haired, adult woman, named Honda-san, "KYOU-CHAN! KONNICHIWA!" "Ah! Its you! What are you thinking?! Do you want to give me a heart attack? Look, you've attracted the attention of everyone here!" He wasn't doing much to help that. But, he was glad to see her. She was glowing with happy thoughts about her daughter probably, and maybe even because she had seen him...?

"Ah! Its you! What are you thinking?! Do you want to give me a heart attack? Look, you've attracted the attention of everyone here!" Little Kyo screamed out. Kyoko laughed loudly, as he was simply attracting the attention of everyone. She sat on the cement ledge where they always sat, and threw her orange hair over her shoulder. She patted Kyo's normal spot next to her, and smiled brightly. She then let out a giant sigh.
"Haa... Work was really a b.itch today!" she said loudly, noticing a couple of old men staring down at her. She then looked to Kyo-chan.
"Oops. I probably shouldn't use that type of language around children... Sorry." She said, giggling. She rubbed Kyo's hair... It was the color of her own. It made her feel like he was hers, even just for a few seconds.
"So... What's new?" she asked inquisitively, tapping her fingers of the ledge of cement.

His eyes wide like those of a childs', he listened as she spoke. He admired this woman who was so strong. Perhaps not physically, but at least she was strong enough to admit her own faults, wise enough to show her imperfections... unlike him... Then, she started to play with his hair and directed a question directly at him, coaxing one of his trademark scowls. He shook his head slightly, as if it would make her stop touching him, but he didn't think it would work, and he didn't mind anyway. It was relaxing, comforting... "Nothing." he retorted, defensively, although he knew he'd end up telling her anyway.
This day had actually been relatively normal. He woke up, ate some vegetables (avoiding Shishou's cooking like the plague... not that he cooked that often), walked to school, scowled in class, squabbled at break, spaced in class, started walking home, ran into Honda-san...
"Really! I mean it! I'm not lying! Nothing happened, okay?" He explained, although he still thought it wouldn't work against her. She was quite good at coaxing him to let loose little confessions he wouldn't think of letting out. Well, this time, he vowed, he wouldn't let her! Its not like she even knows him that well anyway! Especially if I don't tell Shishou... then... then there's no way I'd tell this lady! He scowled again. But, because he was a child, it didn't look so menacing as adorible.
